Lucia Mesquita

Lucia Mesquita (Ph.D.) is a postdoctoral researcher at Dublin City University (DCU) and a research associate in the DMSO (Digital Media and Society Observatory) at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp) – Campus São José dos Campos, Brazil. She completed her PhD at DCU with the thesis “Collaborative Journalism and Normative Journalism: Intersections and implications of normative roles in the collaborative action of journalists, media practitioners and news organizations in Latin America,” under the supervision of Prof. Jane Suiter. She was also an Early Stage Researcher within the JOLT ETN Project on “Harnessing Digital and Data Technology for Journalism” (Grant number 825227), a Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020.
