Marcos G. Quiles is a Full Professor and Co-coordinator of the Digital Media and Society Observatory (DMSO), Institute of Science and Technology (ICT), Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp). He has a degree in Computer Science, cum laude, from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL), and a Masters and PhD in Computer Science from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). He was a visiting researcher at the Perception and Neurodynamics Laboratory of The Ohio State University (OSU), Columbus-Ohio-USA in 2008 and at the Computer Science Department of the University of York, York-UK in 2017. Quiles has been a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow since 2013. He is interested in machine learning, complex networks and their interdisciplinary applications, such as social networks and material sciences.
