Wilson Ceron

Wilson Ceron (Ph.D.) is a researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology at the Federal University of São Paulo. He also works at the Institute of Aeronautics and Space (IAE). During his Ph.D. Ceron proposed a new computational method based on Markov chains to model topics in short texts. He won the best paper award at the International Conference on Remote Engineering and Virtual Instrumentation (REV2020). He completed his MSc. in Computer Science offered by the Federal University of São Paulo under the topic of Social Media Analysis. He also holds a bachelor's degree from the same institution. His research interests are in the ongoing changes in social media networks, data science, Internet of Things (IoT), and augmented reality (AR) applied to communications science. He is currently part of the Digital Media and Society Observatory (DMSO) research group at the Federal University of São Paulo.
